Life in your purpose or purpose in your life?

Life in your purpose or purpose in your life?

And here the dichotomy begins.

Many people go through childhood, school, university and life without any real knowledge, ambition or desire to find and live their true life’s purpose.

We all make various statement like:-

  • I will do that when I have enough money
  • I will write my book when I retired and I have more time
  • I will do that when the kids leave home
  • I will travel the world when I take a three month sabbatical
  • I will have more holidays when I pay off the mortgage

We are great at making excuses to stay within the limits of our minds and not allow ourselves to embrace and create the things we really want to do.

Imagine what life would look like if you were living your life’s purpose? How different would it feel? Would it matter that you are still living in the same house or have the same car? Do you really just need an upgrade because your current model is two years old or maybe the neighbours bought a new car and it is about keeping up with the Jones.

For a moment let yourself consider what it might look like? What would you really have to sacrifice in order to be truly happy doing what you love?

I was one of those people. I had to have a new car, was spending money needlessly on things and yes a little of ego in there keeping up appearances – that was until I found my life’s purpose and knowing fully that my vocation was to help others succeed in life. My joy comes from helping them understand their mindset and how to fully master it and achieve their dreams. Most days there is a fabulous reminder from one of my clients about their successes and their gratitude for the support.

Having practiced smart working, discipline, consistency and reminding myself that dreams without goals are just dreams, add in a huge sprinkling of desire and I am now living the life of my dreams and it is about to get even bigger.

I travel throughout the world to meet with my clients on and off line, I take holidays when and where I want and I didn’t want to wait until I retired to write my book, in fact it is was released on 1 October this year and I am currently working on book two.

Seriously though, I am no different from you – you too can live the life of your dreams!

Here are some thoughts and ideas to help you truly find your purpose.

  • When you jump out of bed each morning are you exhilarated and excited to get your day started?
  • Do you have a burning desire and passion for helping others?
  • Remind yourself what was your childhood dream (mine was to be a teacher and today I have the joy of teaching people mindset – controlling their minds and bringing about phenomenal success through self-mastery). What was yours?
  • Always believe you can do it – no-one ever died from trying
  • Be committed. It takes courage, focus, intention and attention to fully commit to change and living your purpose
  • Be aware and be authentic in your expression of your true self
  • Be crystal clear about your purpose
  • Explore your values, strengths, passions and what you see as goodness in your life and others
  • Start somewhere but start now

Let me ask you – have you ever wondered what the big plan of your life is? Are still trying to define your life purpose? Well I would love to help you on that journey. One of my amazing tools is Life Purpose sessions – here is what Dana from Canada had to say:-

“Shirley Palmer’s session was a real gift to me at a time when I was unsure of how to proceed and was looking for new doors to open in my life. The personalized information she shared with me about my talents, challenges and goals, has helped me to believe in the possibility of my dreams in a way that I wasn’t allowing myself to prior to our session.

Shirley communicates the information in a way that is intuitive and caring, ready to dive in deeper when needed and to help you understand how the information pertains to your life.

I recommend Shirley to anyone who wants to feel more aligned with their life/soul purpose and their true authentic self and to reclaim their power and the direction of their life.”

As Eleanor Roosevelt said “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”

Find your purpose and live a fulfilled and happy life today!
